A little bit about me:

I am a Colorado Native, born in the Denver Area and moved to Montrose when I was 11.  I graduated from Montrose High School and then attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins.  I have travelled extensively and seen a lot of places but have always called Colorado HOME!  The last 16 years I have called Montrose Colorado HOME for the second time.

Montrose is a beautiful place surrounded by all kinds of great outdoor activities that can be easily and quickly reached.

Montrose gives you the ability to do almost any of the Fun stuff you want except Surfing, Scuba Diving and Deep Sea Fishing (these can all be accomplished with a quick hop on a flight to Denver, Salt Lake or even direct to Chicago and other cities during the Ski Season.)

Montrose has quick and close access to activities including…

  • Downhill Snow Skiing - an hour from Telluride, Colorado
  • Cross Country Skiing
  • Ice Climbing
  • Ice Fishing
  • Kayaking
  • Rock Climbing
  • Hiking
  • Horseback Riding
  • Dirt Biking
  • Motocross Racing
  • Fly Fishing
  • Camping
  • Hunting - Bird (Quail and Pheasant), Big Game (awesome Deer and Elk hunting)
  • Staring out your window at the incredible awesomeness of the San Juan Mountain Range or even the cool  oddness of Grand Mesa the biggest flat top mountain (anywhere I think).

Why I am qualified to help you in your next real estate transaction:

I have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science.  I think this gives me a technical edge over many other Realtors that struggle searching for difficult properties or using tools to properly market your properties.

I have managed rental units.

I have bought and developed raw land.

I have built (acted as general contractor) my own house.

I have purchased raw land and negotiated with the City of Montrose on a ROW purchase or threat of Eminent Domain.

I have rezoned raw land.

I have overseen the design of a subdivision and large commercial project sight plan.  (The project still isn’t done yet though, more lessons I have learned that can save you money…)

Give me a call see if we click.  If not I can refer you to someone that is more your style.  I can even refer you out of the Area and still help us both.  Call and ask me how.  Every Realtors business depends on Referrals, so If you think I could help someone you know, please have them call me or better yet, you call me and give me their name and number and I will take care of the rest.

For better or for worse, I just am not a flower and card sending kind of guy or Realtor for that matter…  I focus on the business end of things, but I am plenty friendly and conversational and would gladly make you my friend if you desire that and we click well.  If not, I can still be professional and help you accomplish your goals of buying or selling without you feeling the commitment or obligation for long term friendship.

I enjoy teaching and explaining the Real Estate buying and selling process to my clients and the public in general…

Recently in March of 2009 I decided I needed help.  So Diane Haynes and I partnered up and formed the “Montrose Gold Team”…  So now you get two Realtors for the price of one!  You can reach Diane Haynes at (970) 596-3521 or at ddhaynes1990@msn.com    So if you cannot reach me or would rather deal primarily with a woman rather than a man… call Diane!   We make a great team to give you a great real estate experience for you.

Give me a call today at 970-209-0252.  If I don’t pickup the phone I am either on it or having a conversation with a client or eating my dinner or lunch (unless I know you and you are a client and I am waiting for your call for something pressing).   I work hard, but have a life as well.  I am sure you can appreciate and respect that.  I do take care of business though…

I look forward to hearing from you soon.
